About the Role

TeacherActive is excited to be recruiting a part-time PPA cover teacher for Year 2 at a warm and welcoming primary school in Bordesley Green.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 1 teacher who enjoys variety and flexibility. You’ll provide high-quality teaching cover across Year 2 while giving colleagues valuable planning and preparation time. The role will run throughout the academic year until July 2026, with the possibility of continuing.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Year 2 during PPA cover.
• Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Ensure continuity of learning while covering different lessons and subjects.
• Work collaboratively with the Year 2 team to support pupil progress.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
• Promote excellent behaviour and a calm, inclusive classroom culture.

‍ Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Hold QTS with experience in Key Stage 1 (ideally Year 2).
• Are adaptable, confident, and happy teaching across different subjects.
• Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Are organised, flexible, and committed to pupil progress.
• Are available part-time for the entire 2025/26 academic year.
