About the Role
TeacherActive is excited to be recruiting a part-time PPA cover teacher for Year 2 at a warm and welcoming primary school in Bordesley Green.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 1 teacher who enjoys variety and flexibility. You’ll provide high-quality teaching cover across Year 2 while giving colleagues valuable planning and preparation time. The role will run throughout the academic year until July 2026, with the possibility of continuing.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Year 2 during PPA cover.
- Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Ensure continuity of learning while covering different lessons and subjects.
- Work collaboratively with the Year 2 team to support pupil progress.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
- Promote excellent behaviour and a calm, inclusive classroom culture.
Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Hold QTS with experience in Key Stage 1 (ideally Year 2).
- Are adaptable, confident, and happy teaching across different subjects.
- Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Are organised, flexible, and committed to pupil progress.
- Are available part-time for the entire 2025/26 academic year.
