We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running for one of our school's operations and key support services. This role involves overseeing administrative functions, managing staff absence cover, leading the office team, and coordinating both planned and unexpected changes to daily operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to proactively identify and remove any operational barriers that may arise.

In this rewarding role, you will:
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, site developments and timetable management.
Lead and manage the office and cover teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of school administration and office staff performance, including cover and rota systems.
- Manage day-to-day operations, event logistics, timetable updates and cost-effective staffing cover
- Lead the policy tracker process, ensuring up-to-date documentation and operational compliance (GDPR, H&S, DPA).
- Oversee Census returns, School Cloud (Parents’ Evenings), CPD platforms and liaise with SLT on compliance matters.
- Act as the first point of contact for daily staff absences, producing and sharing daily reports with SLT and staff.
- Support recruitment, inductions, external supply coordination and emergency cover arrangements.
This is a full-time position, working term time plus 2 weeks (37 hours per week, 7:00am – 3:00pm). The role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of the school, with the potential for the position to become permanent following the initial temporary period.
