We are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary SEN school that is looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join their inclusive learning support team.
As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you will work closely with pupils aged 11–16 who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a nurturing environment and can adapt their teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners in Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the secondary curriculum tailored to EHCP targets
Support students’ academic progress, emotional development, and independence
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external specialists
Contribute to the development of inclusive teaching strategies across the school
Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding policies are upheld at all times
The ideal Secondary SEN Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working as a Secondary SEN Teacher in a UK school setting
A solid understanding of secondary curriculum adaptations and SEND strategies
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach to pupil engagement
