Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA
Location: Sale, Manchester
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90 – £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale, supporting them in recruiting a passionate and resilient SEND Learning Support Assistant. This school provides a nurturing environment for children with complex needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, and a range of learning difficulties. The team pride themselves on creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring setting where every pupil can thrive both academically and personally.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right person. The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils who present challenging behaviour, calm under pressure, and proactive in supporting children’s individual development plans.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

• Experience working in a SEND school or with SEND pupils in a mainstream setting

• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively

• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

• A Level 2 or 3 CACHE qualification (or equivalent) – desirable

• Team-Teach or MAPA training – desirable
