TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a dedicated SEND School in Mansfield, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) — including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and complex learning needs.

This nurturing school focuses on creating a positive and therapeutic setting where every pupil can thrive both academically and emotionally. We are now seeking a passionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team and help make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners.

The Role:

• Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Assisting in delivering tailored learning activities in line with individual EHCPs

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

• Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapy teams

• Helping to create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment

• Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (Autism, ADHD, or complex needs)

• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Experience in a school, special school, or alternative provision (desirable but not essential)
