As part of our charity initiatives, we donated an outdoor learning area to one of our schools which previously had no useable green space.
Annie Lennard Primary School in Smethwick gained a sensory garden and outdoor learning area for their primary school so the children can read, learn and explore wildlife outdoors.
Annie Lennard is passionate about providing a sensory space for children and wanted a calming space outside of the classroom for children to learn and play.
We teamed up with Groundwork who transformed the space from an overgrown area to a relaxing garden, complete with benches, storybook chairs, bug hotels, bee boxes and decorations to create a woodland escape on school grounds.
What’s more, our West Midlands team were able to head over to Annie Lennard’s primary school to help with the build by using their additional day of annual leave, especially for charity work. From turning the soil to installing fences, the team had a great time (in both rain and shine) coming together to build this special area.
