TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Selly Oak. The school promotes an inclusive and supportive environment, with a strong focus on helping every child reach their full potential, regardless of their individual needs.

The school is looking to take on a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will be working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour and have additional needs, providing 1:1 and small group support while assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

The successful Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils in a Primary school setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient and resilient approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
