Art and Design Teacher – Salford
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Salford, who are seeking to appoint a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and foster a love for creativity across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Art and Design lessons, encouraging students to explore a range of artistic techniques, media, and cultural influences. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop their creativity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons in Art and Design
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils, including SEND and EAL students
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and exhibitions
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Art and Design within UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
- Effective classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
