About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class Teacher to join a specialist setting in Haverhill.

You will play a key role in supporting pupils to become confident individuals, successful learners, and responsible citizens, while contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties
- Deliver a differentiated curriculum tailored to meet a wide range of learning and social needs
- Plan, prepare, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
- Set clear targets based on prior attainment to drive pupil achievement
- Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policy
- Lead and direct support staff effectively within the classroom
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers and report on pupil progress
- Contribute to annual reviews and wider school activities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Contribute to school improvement planning and curriculum development
- Support the development of inclusive practices across the school
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning
- Be actively involved in policy development and implementation
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet individual pupil needs
- Monitor and track pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
- Maintain accurate records of attainment, development and attendance
- Regularly review and adapt teaching strategies to maximise outcomes
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SEND staff and external agencies
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals
- Participate in meetings including parents' evenings, reviews and planning sessions
- Contribute to multi-agency support for pupils and families
Professional Responsibilities
- Uphold the values and ethos of the school and Trust
- Participate in CPD and professional development opportunities
- Support safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
- Contribute fully to the wider life of the school
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant teaching qualification and strong subject knowledge
- Experience working with pupils with SEND (desirable)
- Evidence of positive impact on pupil outcomes
