Job Title: General Cover Supervisor
Location: Taunton
Start Date: Term 5 (April 2026)
Salary: £120 – £140 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Part-time (3 days per week)

TeacherActive is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Taunton to recruit a reliable and confident General Cover Supervisor to join their team from Term 5. This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week, ideal for those seeking flexibility while making a meaningful impact in education.

The role involves supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people (education setting desirable)
• Be confident managing a classroom and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Be adaptable and comfortable covering a variety of subjects
• Be reliable, organised, and professional
• Be passionate about supporting students and education
