Humanities Teacher – Secondary School – Manchester

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher with a passion for subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Education, who is eager to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (specialism in History, Geography or RE welcomed)

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development

  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a UK secondary school

  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A commitment to inclusive teaching and student achievement

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
