Job Purpose
Deliver targeted SEN interventions planned by the SENCo, ensuring all support is structured, tracked and evaluated. Support Woodend Farm School’s values—Kindness, Belonging, Believing, Achieving—by removing barriers to learning in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions as directed.
- Prepare resources and adapt sessions to meet individual needs (e.g. ASD/SEMH/SLCN).
- Track progress: baseline, session notes, mid-point and exit assessments, with evidence of impact.
- Maintain accurate intervention records (attendance, engagement, progress).
- Share updates with SENCo/teachers and flag concerns or next steps.
- Organise timetables to ensure consistent attendance with minimal disruption.
- Reinforce learning targets in class.
- Promote positive behaviour and follow school policies.
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection procedures.
- Communicate with parents/carers when required.
- Maintain professional standards and attend training.
Success Measures
- Interventions delivered on time and as planned.
- Clear evidence of pupil progress.
- Accurate, timely records and reporting.
- Strong collaboration with SENCo and staff.
- Consistent adherence to policies and school values.
General
- Attend briefings, reviews and supervision.
- Provide regular impact summaries with next steps.
- Follow all school policies and maintain confidentiality.
- Engage in CPD and carry out additional duties as required.
