Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Primary
Location: B11, West Midlands
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Birmingham (B11). The successful candidate will support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive.
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality support, both in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils across the primary curriculum
- Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
- Help pupils develop confidence in core subjects such as English and Maths
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development
- Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, supportive and positive approach to working with children
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- Knowledge of primary curriculum expectations
