TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a Level 2 Nursery Nurse to support nurseries across Hodge Hill, Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity for early years professionals who want to gain experience, stay in childcare, and enjoy the freedom of supply work.
The Role
As a Nursery Nurse, you will:
Support children aged 0–5 years within a nursery setting
Assist in delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
Support children’s development through play and structured learning
Work closely with nursery staff to maintain high standards of care

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for candidates who:
Have experience working in an early years or nursery setting
Are passionate about supporting children’s development
Are adaptable, reliable and proactive
Can ideally work between 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility available)
Essential Requirements
A Level 2 Childcare Qualification (Level 3 desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one through TeacherActive)
Ability to provide 2 professional references
Proof of qualifications must be provided
Accepted Childcare Qualifications
We welcome candidates with the following (or equivalent):
Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
Level 2 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Level 2 Diploma in Early Years Education & Care
Level 2 BTEC First Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
(Level 3 qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply.)
