Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker
Hours: 43.75 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 3 nights on, 4 nights off
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £23,358 - £25,981
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team. This role requires you to remain awake and alert throughout the shift, providing active support to individuals and ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times during the night.
Working a consistent pattern of 3 nights on and 4 nights off, you will play a vital role in maintaining a calm, safe, and responsive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide active, person-centred support throughout the night
Remain awake and vigilant for the full duration of each shift
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service users
Carry out regular checks and respond promptly to any needs or emergencies
Support with personal care where required
Maintain accurate records and complete reports
Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times
About You
Caring, reliable, and patient with a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and stay alert during night shifts
Good communication and observational skills
Previous experience in a support or care role is desirable but not essential
Willingness to undertake training and development

The successful Night Support Worker will have :
Level 3 or equivalent relevant subject
- SEN experience in Schools or Colleges
- Experience working shifts and through the night
- A broad experience with personal care and learning support work
- Experience working/supporting 16 - 19 year olds
