We are currently seeking a Nursery Assistant to support the day-to-day care and development of children within a nursery setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children. Supervise children during play, learning activities, mealtimes, and rest periods.
- Ensure all safeguarding and child protection policies are always adhered to.
- Support the preparation, organisation, and tidying of activities and learning spaces.
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and promoting children’s personal hygiene.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge of child development and early years education
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- A willingness to learn and engage in ongoing professional development.
