Nursery Assistant – Braintree – Full-Time
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming nursery based in Braintree that is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Assistant for a full-time position. This Nursery Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and energetic team, supporting young children in a nurturing and engaging environment.
The successful Nursery Assistant will be working 5 days per week, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Please note that shift patterns may vary depending on the needs of the nursery.
This Nursery Assistant position is available for an immediate start. However, we understand that some candidates may have a notice period, and we are happy to accommodate this. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant:
- Supporting the learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based activities
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- Supporting children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and playtime
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times
Required Skills and Experience for the Nursery Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting is desirable
- A Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years is beneficial but not essential
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
