Nursery Practitioner – Bishop’s Stortford – Full-Time

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a friendly and well-established nursery based in Bishop’s Stortford that is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for a full-time position. This Nursery Practitioner role is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and energetic team within an all year-round setting, offering consistency and career development.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will be working 5 days per week, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Please note that shift patterns may vary depending on the needs of the nursery.

This Nursery Practitioner position is available for an immediate start. However, we understand that some candidates may have a notice period, and we are happy to accommodate this. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

• Supporting the learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Planning and delivering engaging activities that promote play-based learning
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
• Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times

Required Qualifications and Skills for the Nursery Practitioner:

• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education as a minimum)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• A passion for supporting children’s development and learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
