Job Title: Performing Arts Teacher
Location: Basildon, Essex

Contract Type: Full-time (Part-time considered)

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), delivering engaging lessons in drama, dance, and/or musical theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality performing arts lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
Prepare students for performances, showcases, and examinations
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions, clubs, and workshops
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the performing arts curriculum
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a related field
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Ability to motivate and inspire students
Experience directing or producing performances is desirable
