Contract Type: Full time on a interim basis started after Easter, starting 14th April
Hours: Mon-Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturer to join our team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of plumbing professionals by delivering high-quality teaching and practical training.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and helping learners gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the plumbing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and practical instruction in plumbing
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in workshops
About You
Qualified plumber with relevant industry experience
Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to work towards one
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and industry practices
Passion for teaching and supporting learners
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
Desirable
Previous teaching or training experience
Assessor or IQA qualification
Experience working in further education or training environments

The successful candidate will have :
- QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment and great industry experience is vital
- DBS and on update service
- Experience supporting College tutors in a wide range of practical courses
- A strong knowledge and understanding of a key subject at various levels
