Science Teacher – Secondary School – Stockport – Immediate Start
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established secondary school in Stockport, who are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for an immediate start.
This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to make a lasting impact within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach across KS3 and KS4 (specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed)
Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities, including SEND and EAL
Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Effective behaviour management skills
A commitment to inclusive education and student achievement
Excellent communication and organisational skills
