TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Surrey, looking to hire a qualified Science Teacher. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their full potential, whilst promoting independence.

The school is looking to take on a permanent Science Teacher from September on a full-time basis. The successful Science Teacher will be working directly with students in Key Stage / KS2 – Key Stage 4 / KS4 , whose ages range from 7 – 16yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder / ADHD.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

- QTS with Science specialism

- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, ADHD, SEMH

- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
