SEND / SEMH Teacher (QTS) – Stockport
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Stockport, supporting children and young people with SEND and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking to appoint a resilient and compassionate SEND/SEMH Teacher with QTS on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Role:

• Deliver tailored, engaging lessons to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual needs
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development
• Work closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience working with SEND and/or SEMH pupils
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Be patient, empathetic and resilient in challenging situations
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
