TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive school within a well-established Trust in Birmingham. The school promotes an inclusive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with additional needs and encouraging both academic and personal development.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with additional needs such as ASD and SEMH, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support and help manage behaviour effectively.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, including ASD or SEMH
• A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
