TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Primary School in South Tyneside, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for pupils with additional needs. The school promotes a nurturing ethos, ensuring every child is supported both academically and emotionally.
The school is looking to take on a long-term SEN Teaching Assistant starting ASAP. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 child with behavioural needs, using Team Teach strategies to support behaviour management and engagement in learning.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Team Teach training (essential)
• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs
• Experience working on a 1:1 basis within a primary setting
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
