TeacherActive is working in partnership with a supportive, pupil-centred SEND provision in Bristol, seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND English Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This setting supports young people with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Autism (ASC). Many pupils require a structured, consistent environment to help them feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.

Your role will be key in delivering English in a way that is accessible, meaningful, and engaging, enabling pupils to build confidence, develop literacy skills, and experience success in their learning.

You will:

• Deliver differentiated English lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development alongside academic progress
• Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience
• Contribute to a flexible, pupil-centred curriculum

You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff, in a setting that values staff wellbeing and professional development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / ECTs welcome)
• Experience teaching English to pupils with SEND (SEMH, SLCN, ASC)
• A calm, consistent, and inclusive teaching approach
• Strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
