Salary: £31,650 - £43,607 per annum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a nurturing and inclusive SEND provision in Somerset. The setting places the child at the centre of everything they do, supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) within a supportive and child-focused environment.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Class Teacher on a full time, long term basis from September 2026. The successful SEND Class Teacher will be responsible for delivering a personalised curriculum, supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, and working closely with support staff to manage behaviour and promote independence.

The successful SEND Class Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT
• Experience working with pupils with SEND including ASD, SLCN and SEMH
• Strong understanding of differentiated and personalised learning
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, nurturing and consistent approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
