SEND Teaching Assistants – Rotherham

Pay: £93 – £100 per day (dependent on experience/qualifications)

TeacherActive is currently recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools and specialist settings throughout Rotherham.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD, helping them access learning in a way that works for them.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with tailored learning activities
- Supporting behaviour management with a calm and consistent approach
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and wellbeing
- Working closely with teachers and support staff

What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children or adults with SEND (essential)
- A calm, patient, and caring approach
- Confidence with behaviour management
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience supporting on a 1:1 and small group basis
