SEND Tutor

TeacherActive is proud to be working with alternative provisions across Warwickshire that support young people who require a more tailored and flexible approach to education. These settings focus on engagement, inclusion and building positive relationships to help students re-engage with learning.

We are looking for a SEND Tutor on a temporary basis to provide 1:1 tuition for students within alternative provisions. The successful SEND Tutor will be supporting learners with a range of additional needs, delivering personalised sessions and adapting learning to meet individual EHCP targets and academic levels.

The successful SEND Tutor will have:

• QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring qualification
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND such as ASD, SEMH or behavioural needs
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or intervention support
• Strong behaviour management and engagement skills
• A patient, adaptable and resilient approach
• The ability to plan and deliver tailored learning sessions
