TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ therapeutic SEND school, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Science Teacher for a September 2026 start.
This small, specialist setting supports girls with a range of needs including ADHD, ASC, and PDA, providing a highly nurturing and therapeutic environment. The school takes a trauma-informed and individualised approach, focusing on building trust, emotional regulation, and positive relationships as the foundation for learning.
With small class sizes and a personalised curriculum, staff are able to truly understand each student and adapt their teaching to meet individual needs. The school prioritises creating a calm, safe, and supportive space where students can re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
Staff work closely together as part of a supportive and collaborative team, ensuring consistency and care across the school. The leadership team is committed to staff wellbeing and professional development, creating an environment where teachers feel valued and supported.
Schools are already interviewing and securing staff early for September roles, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
The successful Science Teacher will have:
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching Science within UK Secondary Schools
• Experience or a strong interest in working with students with ADHD, ASC, and PDA
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching
