Primary Teaching Assistant – Salford
Long-Term Role | Immediate Start Available
TeacherActive is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Salford to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant for a long-term position.

About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the classroom. You will play a key role in delivering interventions, supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Experience supporting pupils with varying needs, including SEND
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress
- Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive learning behaviours
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, adapting approaches where required
- Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
