TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in Scarborough that supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment focused on building resilience, engagement and positive relationships to help students re-engage with education.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a temporary day to day basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with SEMH needs, working closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour, deliver targeted support and promote a positive learning environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
• A relevant qualification or strong background in education or care
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
