SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in Ripley, Derbyshire. The school is a welcoming and inclusive setting that promotes a supportive learning environment, with a strong focus on helping every child reach their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a full time SEN Teaching Assistant on a long term basis. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working within a KS1 setting, supporting pupils with ASD and challenging behaviours, providing tailored support and helping to manage behaviour effectively within the classroom.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD
• Experience supporting challenging behaviours within a school setting
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Patience, resilience and a calm approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support where needed
