I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a Good rated primary school in Basildon who are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team after Easter. This role is ideal for those seeking a consistent teaching position within a supportive school environment.

The Year 1 Teacher role involves delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on track with their learning. You’ll be expected to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful Year 1 Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools, ideally within Key Stage 1
• Strong classroom management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils
• A positive, professional, and reliable approach
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
