Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Runcorn, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment, helping students build confidence, develop practical skills and re-engage with education through tailored learning opportunities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant with Construction experience on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students both in the classroom and during vocational activities, promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
A background in Construction or vocational learning
Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
