Design Technology Technician

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician on a long-term basis. This school provides a positive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to develop practical skills, creativity and confidence across the curriculum.

The school is looking to take on a reliable Design Technology Technician to support KS3 and KS4 classrooms on a full-time, long-term contract. The successful Design Technology Technician will be responsible for preparing classroom resources and materials, maintaining equipment and machinery, supporting health and safety procedures and assisting teaching staff within the Design Technology department.

The successful Design Technology Technician will have:

• Experience working within a Design Technology department or workshop environment
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within practical classroom settings
• Experience preparing materials and maintaining equipment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to support KS3 and KS4 students effectively
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
