TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist educational setting in Cannock that supports young people aged 16–25 with additional needs. The setting is known for its inclusive, student centred approach, focusing on independence, life skills and personalised learning pathways within a supportive and well resourced environment.

The setting is looking to take on a Humanities Teacher on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right Humanities Teacher. The successful Humanities Teacher will be delivering engaging Humanities lessons to secondary and post-16 students with a range of needs including ASD, learning difficulties and complex needs, while supporting their academic and personal development.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Humanities specialism
• Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level and ideally post-16
• Experience working with students with SEND such as ASD or learning difficulties
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and commitment to student progress
