Job Title: Primary Learning Support Assistant

Location: Derbyshire

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £93 - £100 per day

Can you provide support to students with special educational needs?

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with an outstanding community primary school based in Derbyshire who place a high premium on good manners, good behaviour and learning together.

The successful applicant will be supporting teachers and students in various year groups within KS1 and KS2. They will monitor and encourage student progress and work collaboratively with teachers to develop personalised learning plans.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Level 2/3 Qualification in a relevant subject (preferred)
• Previous experience working in a primary school
• Driving License (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives
• Experience working with SEND
