Alongside TeacherActive, a large secondary school in Northeast London is seeking a Maths Lead Practitioner to join their school community from September 2026. This secondary school sets high expectations for both staff and students, promoting academic excellence across all subjects and maintaining good behaviour. The school have strong results across Maths GCSE and A Level and would like to build on these to ensure that every student achieves their full potential for their exams and beyond into post-secondary life.
The successful applicant will teach across the full Maths curriculum, with KS5 experience and a degree in Mathematics essential to the Lead Practitioner role. Knowledge of Edexcel GCSE and A Level examinations will be beneficial. Extracurricular activities are highly encouraged at this school, allowing staff and students to build a positive school community outside of lessons and supports students to develop their communication and interpersonal skills across age groups.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
- Have a degree in Maths and experience teaching KS4 and KS5 Maths
- Foster positive relationships with your students and colleagues, and actively support their development
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism
- Communicate clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing
- Hold UK Right to Work
