TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large and welcoming Primary School in Blaenau Gwent to appoint a Welsh Primary Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026. The school is looking to take on a dedicated Fluent Welsh Speaking Primary Teacher on a full-time basis to teach a Year 5 / 6 class. The successful Welsh Primary Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons across the Primary Curriculum, maintain excellent classroom management and support pupils in preparation for the transition into secondary education.

The successful Welsh Primary Teacher will have:

QTS / PGCE qualification

Ability to speak the Welsh language fluently

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2

Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum

Excellent classroom management skills

The ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in Welsh

A positive and adaptable attitude
