Job Description
TeacherActive is currently recruiting Primary and Secondary Teachers with QTS to work in a variety of welcoming and supportive schools across Southend and surrounding areas.
As a Qualified Teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupil development, and creating a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers seeking flexible supply work, long-term placements, or permanent teaching positions.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Primary and Secondary National Curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK – essential
- Experience teaching in UK schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for education and child development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
