TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH school in the S41 area, supporting with their recruitment for a Science Teacher. This provision offers a nurturing and structured environment for students who require additional emotional and behavioural support, placing a strong focus on relationship building, engagement and creating positive learning experiences through small class teaching.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Science Teacher on a temporary to permanent basis, starting in September with an earlier start negotiable for the right Science Teacher. The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons to small groups of students with SEMH needs, encouraging participation, managing behaviour positively and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

QTS with a Science specialism

Experience teaching Science within the UK

Experience working with students with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
