Salary: £170 - £270 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision based in Bury, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, resilience and independence. Staff work closely together to create positive relationships and ensure every young person is supported both academically and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with the potential for a permanent role for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher will be working with students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, many of whom display challenging behaviour and require additional behavioural and emotional support. Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships are essential for this role.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs

Strong behaviour management and experience supporting challenging behaviour

Team Teach training is highly desirable

The ability to build strong and positive relationships with students

A calm, patient and resilient approach
