Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a 2-form entry primary school based in Newtown, Birmingham. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, focusing on pupil wellbeing and creating positive outcomes for children with additional needs.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant on a full-time, term-time only basis. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will be working on a 1:1 basis with a KS1 pupil, supporting children with SEMH needs, managing behaviour and promoting engagement within the classroom.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Experience working with SEMH pupils
• Experience supporting KS1 pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient and resilient approach
• Excellent communication skills
