Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with PMLD, placing a strong focus on personalised learning, communication support and emotional wellbeing. Staff within the setting are committed to ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential in a safe and engaging environment.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day supply basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with PMLD across a variety of Key Stages, assisting with classroom activities, supporting communication needs and helping students to engage positively throughout the school day.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, specifically PMLD
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• The ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience supporting students across different Key Stages
• A proactive and positive attitude
