Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Bedale

Salary: £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Bedale, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The setting provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, placing a strong focus on personalised learning, communication development and promoting independence for every child.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day and long-term basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children of mixed ages with PMLD, requiring personal care support, sensory-based learning approaches and the ability to adapt to individual learning and communication needs.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with PMLD
• A caring and patient approach to supporting SEND pupils
• Experience supporting communication and sensory needs
• Confidence supporting personal care where required
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A proactive and adaptable attitude
