Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Basildon, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SENCO. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

The school is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable SENCO on either a part-time or full-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful candidate will lead on SEND provision across the school, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges, while working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.

The successful SENCO will have:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
· Proven experience supporting children with SEND
· Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EHCP processes, and pupil wellbeing
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A positive, flexible, and compassionate approach
