Salary: £145 - £230 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist independent school in Bristol, offering a therapeutic and nurturing environment for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting places a strong focus on personalised learning, emotional wellbeing, and supporting students to re-engage with education in a safe and structured environment.

The school is looking to take on a SEND English Teacher on a temp to perm basis, starting ASAP on a full-time basis. The successful SEND English Teacher will be delivering English to small classes of students with additional needs including ASD, SEMH and associated behaviours, requiring strong behaviour management and a tailored, flexible teaching approach.

The successful SEND English Teacher will have:
• QTS with an English specialism
• Experience teaching English up to KS3 / KS4
• Experience working with students with SEND, particularly ASD and SEMH
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
