TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bridgwater that provides a structured and supportive environment for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition. The school promotes independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour through a consistent and nurturing approach.

The school is looking to take on a part time SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be working Wednesday to Friday, or Thursday and Friday, supporting pupils across Years 6, 7 and 8 with ASC, focusing on behaviour support, engagement and tailored learning alongside the class teacher.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASC and challenging behaviours
• Experience working with Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3 pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills and resilience
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
