Salary: £14.26 - £18.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Bristol, supporting students with SEMH needs. The setting provides a nurturing and structured environment where young people are encouraged to build confidence, resilience and independence, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and positive relationships.

The school is looking to take on a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant on a term time basis with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be supporting students with SEMH needs on both a 1:1 and small group basis, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and support students throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
• A proactive and positive attitude
• Experience within a school, care or support setting
